SafeConsole is a software developed to provide remote control of your secure USB flash drives.

  • 1. What is SafeConsole?

    SafeConsole is a software developed to provide remote control of your secure USB flash drives. SafeConsole enables the possibility to for example remotely reset lost drives, configure password policies and provides many productivity enhancing features.


    Administrators use a web-based interface in a standard browser to create and assign device configurations. Functionality in SafeConsole is made available based on staff roles created in Active Directory or stored in an XML file. SafeConsole can serve more than 100,000 USB drives. Installation can be done either before or after the issuance of the drives.


    SafeConsole is devoloped by BlockMaster and is a world-wide registered brand.

  • 3. Is SafeConsole expensive?

    The price of your SafeConsole installation is based on the amount of USB drives you would like to manage.


    SafeConsole has a universal license that manages ALL SafeConsoleReady Devices called "SafeConsole". If contains the core functionality of SafeConsole USB Managment and is available as a yearly subscription or as a perpetual license.

    If you are trying to solve a specific problem, we've made available extra functionality in an add-on license called SafeConsole Expansion Pack.


    SafeConsole for Kingston manages only Kingston DTVP-M and Kingston DT4000-M drives. This license is almost equivalent to SafeConsole + SafeConsole Expansion Pack and is available as a perpetual (lifetime) license.

  • 4. How can I TRY SafeConsole?

    Representatives for organizations can apply for a trial version of SafeConsole for free. You can choose between doing a cloud trial immediately, and doing a full installation trial on your own server. The full installation can later be transformed into your licensed version SafeConsole.


    For your best experience, we recommend that you get a SafeStick, Kingston DTVP-M, CMS CE-Secure or other SafeConsoleReady Device prior to starting your trial period. You can ask for a trial drive when you register for a SafeConsole Trial, and we will make sure that your preferred hardware partner send one to you.

  • 5. Where do I BUY SafeConsole?

    The easiest and fastest way to purchase SafeConsole is to request and install a trial. This will give you access to the software with a trial license. During your trial, a reseller will contact you with information about the full purchase. If you rather request a quote, we suggest that you do so by selecting which license version you are interested in and request the quote directly from this webpage.   • 2. Is it true that SafeConsole can manage Kingston USB flash drives?

    Yes!

    In 2010 Kingston Technologies and BlockMaster announced a partnership which will provide greater availability of centrally managed USB drives, which makes it easier to protect information on-the-move. SafeConsole For Kingston can manage the DataTraveler Vault Privacy - Managed (DTVP-M) and the DataTraveler 4000 - Managed (DT4000-M) secure USB drives from Kingston.   • 3. Which vendors provide SafeConsoleReady Devices?

    BlockMaster, Kingston Technologies, Giesecke&Devrient, Giesecke&Devrient Secure Flash Solutions, CTwo Products, CMS Products and Autosafe

    There are more hardware parnters coming soon. SafeConsole USB Management allows you to manage whichever drive that suites you best.

  • 4. Do any of the supported drives have smart card functionality?

    Yes!

    Two of the USB flash drives from Giesecke & Devrient Secure Flash Solutions and on USB drive from Giesecke & Devrient have smart cards. The Portable Security Tokens offer the choice between a compact USB drive or a card design. The PST ID has a contactless smart card and RFID tag.
